Autre & Part began as a quiet idea I carried for years, a seed planted during my cousin’s 50th birthday villa trip, where I first saw what it felt like for Black families to rest, celebrate, and take up space in beauty.

That seed grew long before I had the language for it.

Two years later, during another cousin’s 40th birthday in Jamaica, I met the man who would become my husband. And in the years that followed — planning my father’s 70th, losing my brother and mother-in-law — the urgency became unmistakable:

Time with the people you love is the true luxury. And the world should make that easier, not harder.

Autre & Part is the answer to that calling.

Why We Built This

Group travel is beautiful and chaotic. One person carries the weight, plans every detail, chases payments, and prays they don't get side texts complaining about the room assignments.

We’re building a new kind of platform that removes all of that friction and centers what actually matters: connection, joy, rest, and rhythm.

Autre & Part is built by Brittany & Kimani Embden, partners in life and in vision.

Brittany brings the storytelling, and the desire to create something that honors folks who have been left out of the luxury conversation and the memories that shaped her.

Kimani brings the structure: a project-management mind, a fun loving and curious vibe, the coding skills to build systems from scratch, and a willingness to dream boldly.

Together, we’re building a platform grounded in intention, where travel becomes easier, hospitality becomes deeper, and belonging feels inevitable.
